Core-Solve began with a simple dissatisfaction: important decisions are often treated as though one discipline, one metric or one confident answer should be enough.

Origin

Why Core-Solve was developed.

The idea behind Core-Solve is that complex human problems become distorted when they are forced through a single way of seeing.

Rather than asking a system to provide the answer, Core-Solve asks what changes when the same dilemma is examined through philosophy, psychology, systems theory, probability, ethics, sociocultural context and strategic logic.

The disagreement between those lenses is not a defect. Often it is where the most useful insight begins.

What matters

Three ideas sit underneath the project.

They shape both the reasoning method and the way the technology is expected to behave.

Human agency

A tool can support judgement, challenge it and broaden it. It should not quietly replace the person responsible for making the decision.

Visible reasoning

Important assumptions and frameworks should be exposed to scrutiny rather than hidden behind fluent language or technological authority.

Productive disagreement

Different disciplines may point in different directions. Core-Solve preserves that tension long enough for it to become useful.

George Sfougaras

Core-Solve was developed by George Sfougaras from a long-standing interest in how people think across disciplines, how decisions are framed, and what happens when creative, ethical and analytical forms of enquiry are allowed to inform one another.

His work spans creative practice, education and research. Core-Solve extends that interdisciplinary approach into decision support: not by collapsing different traditions into one answer, but by creating a structure in which they can interrogate the same problem.

The project treats technology as an instrument for extending human enquiry. The central concern remains the quality of the reasoning and the agency of the person using it.

AI & Core-Solve

The technology is part of the mechanism, not the authority.

Core-Solve uses artificial intelligence to help apply, compare and synthesise multiple reasoning frameworks. That capability is useful precisely because it can range widely. It also requires limits.

AI can widen enquiry.

It can rapidly bring several frameworks, possible consequences and alternative interpretations into the same analytical space.

AI can still be wrong.

Fluency is not evidence. Sources, factual claims and important assumptions remain open to verification and challenge.

The user remains responsible.

Core-Solve does not transfer moral, legal or professional accountability from a decision-maker to a machine.

The ambition

Core-Solve is not an attempt to automate wisdom. It is an attempt to make better use of the ways humans have learned to think.

Philosophy, psychology, ethics, systems thinking, probability, sociocultural analysis and strategy each represent accumulated human attempts to understand difficult problems. Core-Solve asks what becomes possible when those traditions can be brought into conversation quickly, visibly and critically.
