How Core-Solve works
Core-Solve structures difficult questions so that assumptions, competing values, uncertainty and possible consequences can be seen before a decision is made.
The process
The method is intentionally simple at the surface. The depth comes from examining the same problem through different frameworks rather than collapsing them into one verdict.

Look for conflicts between values, evidence, incentives, risks, obligations and longer-term consequences.

Two ways to work
Core-Solve offers two modes because not every dilemma benefits from the same kind of reasoning process.
Best when you want consistency, comparability or a clear record of how the decision was examined.
Best when the problem is still forming, information is incomplete or the most important issue has not yet been identified.
The seven core lenses
No single lens is treated as automatically decisive. Their value lies partly in where they agree and partly in where they do not.
Examines underlying assumptions, concepts, principles and the internal coherence of the position being considered.
Tests motivation, cognitive bias, behaviour, emotional pressure and the limitations of individual judgement.
Looks beyond the immediate event to relationships, feedback loops, dependencies and second-order effects.
Separates what is known from what is merely plausible and examines uncertainty, exposure and alternative outcomes.
Considers duties, consequences, fairness, rights, harms, responsibilities and competing moral claims.
Examines institutions, culture, social norms, power, stakeholder positions and the wider context that shapes choices and consequences.
Tests objectives, constraints, leverage, timing, trade-offs and how one decision may reshape the choices that follow.
What the user receives
The point is not simply to generate more text. A useful Core-Solve output should make the structure of the problem clearer than it was at the beginning.
Each perspective remains identifiable rather than disappearing into a single blended answer.
The reasoning is connected back to what the user may actually need to decide or investigate.
Relevant theories, principles or recognised frameworks are identified rather than hidden.
Agreement is useful; disagreement between lenses can be even more informative.
Design principles
The system supports the person making the decision; it does not claim authority over them.
Important assumptions, frameworks and disagreements should be exposed to scrutiny rather than concealed behind a confident answer.
Difficult problems deserve more than one way of seeing. Core-Solve is designed to preserve productive disagreement between disciplines.
